With the development of economy, more and more tall buildings are being built in large and medium-sized cities across the country.In urbanization, however, one thing should not be neglected---environmentalprotection. It is unscientific to judge a city’s modernization level by thenumber of high buildings. Recently, a new concept “environmental image” hascome into being and become an important criterion with which to evaluate acity.
随着经济的发展，越来越多的高楼在全国各大中城市崛地而起。然而，在城市化进程中，有一件事不容忽视，那就是环境保护。凭借高楼的数量来判断一座城市的现代化水平是不科学的。最近，一种新的“环境形象”的观念已经形成并且成为评估一座城市的重要标准。
The concept stresses that a modern city must haveefficient environmental promotion. It must have a proper proportion of greenland, clean water and fresh air. To add more greenery to a city, I would liketo make the following proposals:
这一观念强调，一座现代化的城市必须有高效的环保宣传。绿地、干净的水以及新鲜的空气必须到达一个适当的比例。为了给城市增添更多的绿化，我想提出以下建议：
1. We should popularize “vertical greenery” technique,that is, to plant more green-leaved plants like Boston ivy in densely-locatedbuildings. The roof space of buildings should be used fully to plant flowers,fruits and grasses.
1. 我们应该推广“垂直绿化”技术，也就是说，在建筑密集的地方种植更多的绿色阔叶植物，如波士顿常春藤。我们应该充分利用建筑物的屋顶空间，种一些花草和水果。
2. Certain room should be reserved for green belts,green patches in the building of new residential districts and thereconstruction of urban areas.
2.应留有一定空间给绿化带以及新建住宅小区和重建市区的绿色补丁。
3. Measures should be taken to strengthen people’sawareness of greenery. People should, for example, be encouraged to plant“wedding trees” and “birthday trees”.
3.应该采取一些措施来加强人们的绿化意识。比如，应该鼓励人们种植“婚礼树”和“生日树”
